Greetings, jazz fans! We're going to take one more shot at wrapping up our 2021-2022 concert season in style and we really hope you're planning on joining us.
We have two more concerts for you this season. As it happens, the first of those two concerts is a little over a month away.
In case you've forgotten, the next concert up on the docket is...
We're hitting the stage at the Broadway Theatre on Friday, May 13th at 7:30 PM for our very special tribute to the Beatles (à la big band).
From the concert information page:
The Beatles are arguably one the most important & successful bands of the 20th century, influencing music, film, literature, art, and fashion. Many of their songs to this day carry powerful messages of hope, peace, creativity, tolerance, humanity and love. Their music also happens to ‘translate’ beautifully onto large jazz ensemble sonic landscapes.
Join SJO Guest Conductor Ray Baril as he takes the SJO ‘through their paces’ presenting a blend of classic and reimagined iconic Beatles tunes, featuring the always incredible Robert Walsh on guitar and other special guest vocalists to be announced soon!
The SJO and all our guests will need to adhere to the COVID-19 safety protocols set in place by our hosts at the Broadway Theatre. Those guidelines are as follows:
All patrons, staff, volunteers, and artists attending and/or working public events at The Broadway Theatre must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and by participating in events at The Broadway, are verifying they are vaccinated.
This means you must have received your second dose two weeks prior to the day of the show you wish to attend. By purchasing tickets, you are agreeing to the terms of attendance for you and your party and understand that attendees can be removed from the venue if non-compliance is brought to staff attention.
We'll be wrapping up our regular season on June 16th with Dimensions in Sound (which was previously scheduled for January but was unfortunately postponed).
The Dimensions In Sound project is an exploration in human perception and how we perceive music. Learn more about this genre-bending multi-sensory orchestral experience on our website.
