André White is a Canadian drummer, pianist, composer, recording engineer, and educator based in Montreal. Over a career spanning more than three decades, he has performed with jazz legends including Dizzy Gillespie, Benny Golson, Jimmy Heath, Pepper Adams, and Dave Liebman. In addition to his work as a performer and bandleader, André has contributed to more than sixty jazz recordings as an engineer and producer. He is currently an Associate Professor in Jazz Studies at McGill University, where he teaches jazz history, composition, and improvisation.
