Sarah grew up in Saskatchewan and received her combined Bachelor of Education and Music Education degrees in 2014 from the University of Saskatchewan. While completing her Bachelor's degrees, Sarah studied saxophone under the tutelage of Dr. Glen Gillis and participated in the University Wind Orchestra, Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble and Saxophone Choir. She earned her Master in Music Education degree from Brandon University under the supervision of Dr. Sheelagh Chadwick and Michael Cain. Sarah's thesis focused on developing a better understanding of her personal approaches to teaching improvisation for high school students. While at Brandon, Sarah was a member of the Brandon University Women’s Soccer team and is a frequent player in the Saskatoon Adult Soccer league. Sarah currently lives in Saskatoon and teaches band, choir, drumline and jazz band at Marion M. Graham Collegiate.
