Queen Cora Coleman is a drummer, producer, author and educator from Houston, Texas, and one of the most in-demand players of her generation. She graduated valedictorian of Kashmere High School and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in music performance from Howard University.

Coleman won the Guitar Center National Drum-Off in 2003, and was brought into Prince's band after he saw her play at a Frank McComb concert. Five years with Prince were followed by a run with Beyoncé beginning in 2011. She has appeared at the Grammy Awards, the Academy Awards and two Super Bowl halftime shows, and has played in more than forty countries.

Her credits cross genres, from Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Mary J. Blige, Missy Elliott and P!nk to Yusef Lateef, Joe Sample, Sheila E., Andrea Bocelli and Zucchero. She has served as house drummer for BET's Black Girls Rock Awards, and is the founder of The VIVO Club.
